Awarded in 2005: Yukiko came to Seattle over 18 years ago in 2001. During her time here she attended and graduated from Cornish College of the Arts. Following graduation in 2008, Yukiko moved back home to Japan and was hired as a designer for a Japanese Airline.

One year later when the company folded, Yukiko and two of her co-workers saw the silver lining and started their own small design company. Yukiko has been working in Tokyo doing this work for the past 9 years. Her work is centered on creating advertising design for in-flight magazines, advertisement of a major hotel, and art direction of children’s books.
