Awarded in 2010: Ethan Claunch was born in Thousand Oaks California. At the age of five, he and his family moved to Columbus, MT. His two older brothers introduced him to the world of comic books at a young age. Before long, he was illustrating his own comic books. Spider-man and Spawn were his favorite.

After graduating from Montana State University, Ethan journeyed to Poulsbo, WA to attend the Northwest College of Art & Design. He now works as a freelance illustrator, drawing comics from the comfort of his own home. He currently resides in Poulsbo with his girlfriend Danielle, their dogs, Kiba and Ellian, and their cats, Irish, Chibs and Micki.
